“Extinction Protest Series”™
Art with a message. In May 2019, the United Nations reported species extinction rates were accelerating and 1 million species were threatened with extinction as a result of habitat destruction and climate change. Ben, utterly devastated by this news, channeled his frustration and anger into a series of paintings entitled Extinction Protest Series™️, which depict animals around the world reacting to climate change and the destruction of their habitats. Today, Ben continues these paintings of animals protesting for their survival. Each painting is his act of defiance against the inadequate global response to the environmental crisis and Ben vows to keep protesting and painting. Autism Festival 2021 RTSA-TACC is exhibiting the series from August 2021 to Feb 2022.
